Banker Babes at the Hockey Game

On Friday night, the 4 of us girls from work went to the Silvertips game. Lots of fun! The were broadcasting the game live, so through the whole thing I was getting texts from people telling us that they could see us. It was kind of exciting, yet made me a little self consious!

Vinny's been a lucky boy lately...

Vinny had another sleepover last night. We have been trying to plan a night for Kayla to come stay the night and we were finally able to make it work. We started the evening with a trip to see Gnomeo & Juliet. It was a really cute movie. The kids seems to enjoy it too.
Rockin' the 3D glasses.
When we came out of the theatre Vinny told Kayla "You are my best friend, Kayla!" It melted my heart. He absolutely loves to play with her. Before we left the theatre they got a photo strip done... Vinny doesn't quite get it yet.
No wonder he likes her... she plays video games with him! Playing DS.
Followed by some Lego Batman on the DS.

They stayed up late and woke up early! Vinny wanted to know why she had to go home and wanted her to come again tomorrow... Hopefully we can plan another sleepover for the 2 of them over spring break!
Love you Kayla!

Our furbabies

I post all the time about our family, but sometimes forget out our furbabies... so here are some pics of my other 3 babies...

Mama got a new bed (and Daddy too!)

So, if you have ever been to my house, you probably have not been in my bedroom. There are 2 reasons for this... one is that it was probably a mess, and two is because I didn't have a bed... Yes, I am 31 years old and have been sleeping for the last 7 years with my mattress on the floor. Well, things have changed, Baby! I finally got a new bed! AND I LOVE IT!

Vinny was more excited about the fort he got to make with all the boxes!

More pictures

Good Morning Jules!
A little Elefun!
 The little drummer boy
There was a marching band in my living room too. Vinny told me. "If you take pictures, I am going to be goofy. If you don't take pictures, I will do it right!" Guess what. He was goofy.

Vinny teaching Nadia how to play Carnival on the DS.

Fun Times! It sounds like Tania and Joe enjoyed their kid free night, and Vinny loved having his "brother" over. I think Jules did great for it being his first night away from his parents. He was a good little sleeper, (once I got him to sleep.)

Date night!

Not for us, but for Joe and Tania. Linda took Nyah and we kept Nadia and Jules... It's 11 at night, but so far so good... here are a few pics I have taken so far...
Jules and I were hanging out on the couch watching TV and I took this quick one with my phone.

Concentrating hard on Black Ops!
I think he likes his Uncle Tony!
 Such a cutie!

52 week project - Week 7

Family shot taken because I was running out of time in the week! Um... maybe next weeks pic will be better.

Tony was doing his job and getting his pic of us... not so flattering, but at least he tried.

Birthday flowers for my Grandmas

Vinny bought flowers and made cards for Grandma Donna and Grandma Linda's birthday. He was so excited!

We had a very nice lunch at Georgio's. It's tradition!

I just love pictures

A local photographer had a great deal on pictures, so I had a couple taken yesterday. It was spare of the moment, so he was just wearing what he was wearing, but it turned out ok anyway. You only got 2 shots, but I love the 2 that we got. Vinny even got to hold a real rabbit and did so well with it.

Who wins?

Tonight as we were driving in the car I told Vinny I loved him... Then Dad said "I love you more!" Vinny's response? "Now your turn, Mom, tell me how much more you love me!" and we went back and forth. Anytime one of us stopped he would say "don't you love me more than that? Your turn!" So eventually I loved him to the moon and back, and jupiter and back, and mars and back 100 million times. Then I asked him how much he loved me... " A whole super duper lot! and Dad, I love you a luper tuper lot! That's because that rhymes." :)

:)

Happy Birthday Mom and Linda! I know I say it every year, but I still can't believe you both were born on the same day. I hope you have a wonderful day and see you Saturday for lunch!

Video of Vinny's hockey book

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today has been such a great Valentine's Day. I worked an open to close shift, which wouldn't have been my first choice of things to do, but my evening made up for it. I came home and gave Vinny his Create a Book that we had made for him. It was very anti-climatic, which isn't what I expected at all, but he did enjoy it. I ordered it online and was able to put personalized things in it, so that the book was about Vinny. I will try to upload a video of it later.
I gave Tony his card, and so did Vinny. :)

I went into the bedroom and came out and Vinny was opening a little present. He said "Happy Valentine's Day" to me and kept opening it. Tony told him it was mine, and he said "well, mom doesn't know how to open presents, so I have to help her." So he opened it and handed me the box. Inside was a new Pandora charm for my bracelet. It is the "Love me, mother of pearl" charm, and I love it!!! Tony did good!
Charm Love Me White Mother of Pearl
I then cooked Tony his Valentine's dinner...
It's 2 grilled cheese sandwiches, used for bread to make a BLT (minus the tomatoes) It was huge, but yummy!

To top everything off, I received a yummy box of brownies delivered from my secret mom on OOF (my online mommy's group.) What a great suprise! Thank you so much!!!

We have never been much for Valentine's Day. In fact, we really have never celebrated it at all. This year, I think that Vinny helped to put us in the mood, which was a good thing. I love Tony so much, and I can't imagine my life without him. He is a wonderful husband, an amazing father and more than I could ever ask for. I am so greatful to have him in my life. I love you, hun!

A Vinny funny

Lately when Vinny doesn't want to do something, he tells us he is too scared to do it. One example was this morning, he wanted to play his Lego Batman DS game, but wanted us to play it with him. When I told him that I didn't want to play it he said he was too scared to play it by himself. Keep in mind that Vinny would normally play this game by himself as much as possible. I told him that if he played Reader Rabbit, then I would play with him.It is a game with a Rabbit and Lion that talk to you and you practice spelling and reading and some of there things. If he is going to play DS, I try to encourage the educational ones as much as possible.
He looks at us and said he is too scared to play that one too. I told him it wasn't scary, and his response was "Have you ever seen animals talk? That is some scary stuff!"
Where does he come up with these things?

Vinny's school Valentine's Party

Since Vinny doesn't have school on Monday, they had his Valentine's party on Friday. Here are the Valentine's that he made for his teachers.

He wanted to draw flowers in them, so he did. These are the first flowers I have seen him draw, and I think he did a pretty good job.
Showing off his loot.
His heart.
This is the necklace that he made. He told me that the teacher said that they had to make sure that both sides were the same. I am impressed that he was able to do it. He was pretty proud of it.

Week 6 of 52 week project.

Taken 2-12. We had an extra guy in our pictures this time. Hi Jordy!

Vinny's school Valentine Party

Vinny's class had a Valentine's party on Friday. He brought Scooby Doo Valentine's with suckers attached.
Vinny made 2 special Valentine's for his teachers. He wanted to draw flowers on them, and told me that he had never drawn a flower before, so I thought he did a pretty good job.

Vinny showing off all his cards and treats.
Vinny's puffy heart.
He also made a necklace at school. He told me that it was so much fun because he had to make both strings exactly the same. He did a great job!
