Woodland Park Zoo

We went to the zoo today. Vinny loved seeing all the animals. By far, his favorite was the penquins. He would have spent the whole day there, if we would have let him!

Girls Night!

Went out tonight with the girls from work... Dinner, drinks and a Hockey game! Lots of fun!!!

What a smart boy!

The other day, I was driving Vinny to daycare, and I looked back and Vinny had written his name on his little chalkboard. I tried to take a picture, but he started to erase it. I had no idea that he knew how to write it by himself. He had copied me before, but never just written it by himself.

When we got home I asked him again to write it... here it is...

It's been awhile...

Lots of excitement in my house!!! Vinny now can write his name, and can write most letters that you ask him to. He doesn't put them in order yet, but writes them. He is doing so well with his numbers and letters. I am so proud of him.
He started speech therapy last week. We are working on P B & M. So far we haven't noticed much of a difference, but we are working with him quite a bit. His next "teaching teacher" class is the 1st.
We are counting down the days until we go to Disneyland. I really can't wait!!!
I am busy planning Tania's baby shower. I can't believe that we are going to have a nephew in just a month or so. I can imagine how excited they are!

BOOK

Vinny has been watching Word World all the time, and learning to spell words. Today in the tub he noticed that he had "2 O's like Book." Then he caught the letters and wrote "book" on the wall. We tried to explain that it spelled Koob, but he was sure of it... So here is Vinny's first world that he spelled on the bathroom wall (kind of.)
I am so proud of him... (even if he has it backwards!)

Candy Land

Vinny loves to play Candyland (he cheats, but loves to play!)

Crafts/Learning table

I recently set up a learning/craft station for Vinny in our dining room. It just has a little area where he can do crafts and such whenever he wants. He loves to color, and paste and is so neat and clean about it, that I don't really worry about it. I also picked up a couple of thse posters and got one from Linda so he can practice. He will sit on that chair forever and just count or do his ABCs or tell where people live on the map.

I picked up a little piggy bank for Vinny to paint... He had so much fun!

Happy Birthday Tony!

Tony's birthday was Tuesday. We celebrated by going to the casino for seafood buffet dinner and played a little slots (and yes, we won a little.) It was so fun having date night! Thanks Alison and Tony for babysitting!

Happy 30th Birthday Tony!
