HOT!

It has been record breaking hot this week, and we have spent a lot of time in the pool trying to cool off!!!

Jennie, Cameron and Shawn came over to play in the pool.

The dogs weren't too impressed with the heat.

We took a drive up the Mt Loop by the ice caves because we heard that there was a storm, and we wanted to get out of the sun. We found a little rain, but not much. This was also the first time that we took the pups on a leash walk. Vinny did so well walking Lucy, I was pleasantly surprised.

Joe and Tania stopped by with the girls on Thursday afternoon. Another Pool Party!!!

Job Hunt

So, no real leads in the job search yet. I am taking the cival service exam for the city of Everett today... Wish me luck! I also have an interview on Thursday with an insurance company, but other than that... I am just applying and hoping something comes up.
I have to admit though, I am liking this staying home stuff. I totally have a new respect for stay at home moms, though. :) I still have Vinny in daycare, and it is tough!

PUPPIES!!!!

I am starting to think that "Life as Vinny's mom" is an understatement... now it's life as Vinny's, Patina's, Jordy's, Lucy's, Jake's and Milk's mom. That's right, we added 2 new additions to our family. We got 2 beagle puppies. The female is 8 weeks old and names Lucy and the male is 10 weeks old and named Jake. They are 1/2 brother and sister. We decided that we finally were going to get a dog. On Sunday, after lots of research we decided on Beagle... We found Lucy in Lyden on Sunday night... Monday afternoon, I drove back up there and got Jake. Lucy missed him :)

It's been so hot!!!

We went to the splash park yesterday to try and stay cool... It worked! And we had lots of fun.

Yesterday... fun with friends

Vinny stayed home yesterday and Alison, Andrew & Ashley came over to play. Vinny didn't nap before hand, so I thought it would be a really rough play date, but it turned out great. Dawn, Eli and Kai come over a couple of hours later to play too.

Kayak Point

Last night I had Tony pick Vinny up from daycare while I made us a picnic dinner to bring to the beach. It was such a beautiful day. Vinny had never been in the water with "bumps" (waves) and once he figured out that it wasn't that cold, he wanted to keep going deeper and deeper. Poor kid was up to his chin when the waves hit.

The downside to this fun trip, is that we go to Kayak point a lot. Even when the weather is not good. I can just see it raining, and Vinny wanting to go back out into the water bumps!!!

Family Bike Ride

On Tuesday night, we went for bike ride on Centential trail. It was about a 4 mile ride. Vinny kept wanting to get out, and even tried to crawl in the back of the bike trailer while Tony was pulling him. It is so much fun to go on these rides... if only my knee didn't hurt so bad afterwards!

2 little monkeys....

I had this monkey puppet at work for ever, and now that I have it home, Vinny is obsessed with it. It eats with him, it plays with him, it goes in the car with him... it even goes potty (see older post.) The monkey now wears a pull up, and sometimes clothes... silly monkey.
