Target Photo Shoot Take 1

We went to Target a week or so ago to get family pictures taken... These are the pictures that we got. Some of them are cute, and some, not so much, so I told them how I felt. We go back this Saturday for a free shoot to "capture the family photo that I am looking for."

Cute picture, kind of... too bad my one eye is half closed.

I love this one too. It's my favorite... the only problem is that it came out really really dark when they did it. I had to edit it myself to get it to come out like this. The shadowing is weird, but we all look good. :)

It's been awhile...

since I wrote, so I have lots of updates.

Work has been going great. I am still getting used to working later, but it really isn't that bad. I worked my first Saturday last week, which made for an exhausting week, but I will get used to it soon. I love most of the people at the bank, so far, and the customers are great! There have been a lot of sickies going around, so my schedule has been a bit messed up, but it's ok.

Joe and Tania had their "Big" ultrasound and found out that it is a BOY!!! Yay! Everyone is super excited!

Last week, I had to work unexpectedly on my day off, so Papa Vinny babysat. It sounds like they played hard, non-stop and hd a great time. Since I had to work late, we met up with them at Dan & Brenda's for Kayla's birthday party. When I got there, I knew Vinny had a great time, because everytime my dad would get out of site, Vinny would wander around asking "where Papa Vinny go?"
It was a lot of fun at Kayla's birthday. Vinny sat down stairs and played "tadpole" (pool) for ever with my mom and with Kayla.

Thanksgiving was pretty relaxing. We went to Dan and Linda's and spend it with them, Tim, Joe, Tania and the girls. Of course, Vinny didn't eat anything, except for whipped cream off of his pumpkin pie, but I think the rest of us ate ours plus his share.

That night I went out with Dawn to do some Christmas shopping at the outlet mall. I have to admit, I think Black Friday is one of my favorite days of the year. I came home and got a couple of hours of sleep, and then woke up early to do some more shopping Friday morning before work... yes, that's right. I shopped at the midnight madness sales, and then woke up and shopped some more, then I worked a full shift at work (8:45 to 7:15) and to top it off, I went to a Tips game afterwords. I was exhausted, but it was well worth it.

Yesterday we had a pretty good day. We went up to the mt loop for a drive to see more snow and bring the dogs for a walk. , but most of the snow is gone. We came home and did some more shopping and then drove around so Vinny could find Christmas lights.

Today has been a lazy day so far. We went to go and look for a Christmas Tree, but Vinny was throwing a major fit, so we came home... so it looks like we'll get a tree another day... He's napping now, and Tony went to Jason's to watch football, so here I am all curled up with a blanket updating the world.

Astro Boy

Vinny went to his 1st movie today... We saw Astro Boy. He did great, and now I know that I don't need to hesitate if we want to go to a movie. I don't know why I ever hesitated to start with... he is such a TV junkie, I should have known. We made it about an hour and ten minutes into an hour and 20 minute movie before he told me that he wanted to leave. He whispered during the movie, and when he wanted to go, he just whispered to me that it was time to go. I am so proud of him!

A lazy Sunday

I decided to take Vinny to the movies for the 1st time today. We were going to go and see Astro Boy, but Vinny fell asleep before I even made it to the theatre (less than a mile away from home.) So, I brought him in and laid him down on the couch... Jordy soon joined, and the puppies took que...

Ice Caves

Yesterday we bundled up and went to hike up to the ice caves. Since we went last week, and weren't prepared for the snow, we thought we would go up again. It was so much fun!! Vinny loved being pulled up on his sled, and the dogs had a blast in the snow!

WEEEEEE!!!

Funny story, we are just getting to the end of the trail, and who do we see? Karen. What is the likely hood of that. There were only about 30 people up there hiking. What are the chances?

A B C

We started to work with Vinny on his letters. This week we are doing A, B and C. He really isn't interested, but I am still trying... So far he knows, A is apple, B is baby and C is "TUPTATE!" (cupcake.) He knows what the A is when he sees it, but hasn't gotten the other 2 yet. We'll see how the week goes!
In these pictures you can see I made a chart and cut out letters from magazines. He then matches the letters to where they went. I also cut out some pictures so he could put them under the correct lettter.

SNOW?????

We took our car this morning to go and get the windows tinted, then picked up Vinny and decided that we wanted to go for a hike at the ice caves. We got Vinny's boots on and off we went. We stopped at the ranger station to get a pass and he said that we "might run into some snow." As we got closer we realized that "some snow" was an understatement.
Here are some pictures. We didn't stay long because we weren't dressed for it, at all, but Vinny got to play a little.

Vinny stayed the night at Dan and Linda's Friday night, while Tony and I had a date night...

Happy Halloween

Vinny had a good Halloween. He started out in his Imagination Movers costume and ended up a skeleton.

After trick or treating at Grandma and Grandpa's house, we met Dawn, Brian, Eli and Kai at the mall to trick or treat.


Then we went over to Bona and Grandpa's where Vinny went trick or treating with Kayla I know it isn't a great picture, but they were very cute together!

He had a great time!!!

Skating

About a month ago, Dawn, Alison and I took the boys roller skating, (there are pictures in a previous post.) The owner of the rink loved the boys out there skating and took pictures. They asked if they could put them up on the website of the rink. We of course said yes. To our suprise, they are right on the front page of the website.
