The other day, I asked Vinny to make Eli a birthday card. He asked how to write Eli, so I wrote it out for him (you can see it in the first picture.) He said, "No, I write it lowercase." I was shocked to see him do it... I didn't expect him to know how to do it, and just do it...
Just on a whim, I asked him to write "Happy Birthday." He asked me each letter and he wrote it out. I think he did an amazing job! Especially for a little guy that just turned 3! I am so proud of him.
I started a counting chart awhile back and it is getting shorter and shorter... Only 5 more days until Disneyland! We have this hanging by the front door. Vinny pulls off a ring every morning and we count the days. Anytime during that day if you ask him how many days, he answer right back "6 more days!" and he is always right on how many. Vinny brings the rings with him in the car and leaves them next to his car seat. Last week I moved them, and when he got in the car he'll got all upset that he couldn't go to Disneyland. I ask him why and he told me because his "tickets" were gone. He thought that each ring was a ticket to get in. It was too cute!
Last night was the last regular season home Silvertips game, so we decided to bring Vinny. The tips won!!! Yay!!! We stayed for the awards that they won afterwards. It is always a great night... we have players that are graduating and overagers that we won't see anymore after the playoffs. It is weird to think that after all the years we have been going that Dailey and Harper won't be there next year. It was a great season, and a great way to win the last home game. Go Tips!!!
I bought Vinny this hat and tried to put it on him with the bill in the front... he said "me to it," took it off and put it on backwards "like Mover Dave."
Last night we met up with Dawn, Brian and the boys and went to see Recess Monkey. They are a local band of elementary school teachers who play children's music. They were good and a lot of fun. Vinny loved it!!! About a 1/2 hour into it though, Vinny realized that one of the guys looked like "Mover Rich." Then we wanted to see the rest of the movers. I tried to explain that it wasn't Rich, and just looked like him, but he didn't believe me... so we cut out a little early, before the end... If you have little ones, they are definetly a must see. Tons of fun!!! http://www.recessmonkeytown.com/
